Karen, I was so sorry to hear of Eric’s passing. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Eric was in my section as a fellow RPM when I first started with EPA. I recall his generosity with answering my questions as a newbie to the Federal government. He was always so kind and patient with that warm smile. Deepest condolances to Karen. I knew Eric from his first stint at EPA in the 1980's, and from a wonderful visit with him and Karen in Colorado in about 1988... He was a gem and will be missed.

My deepest condolences to Karen and family. I was fortunate to have worked many years with Eric at EPA3, and we enjoyed lots of extra-curricular activities together. When he was living in Denver, I met him during a business trip and we finagled a couple days off to go skiing at his favorite local slopes, which was unforgettable. Since our retirement, we managed to get together pretty regularly for "Old Boys Lunch", along with Jeff and Mark (and on occasion Bob Davis), always enjoying each others company, catching up on family developments, political intrigues, etc. Eric was always so kind and considerate, very easy to like, and he will be missed greatly.
