Obituary of Charles Thomas French

Charles T. French, age 77, of Dresher, PA, died at home with his family by his side on November 23, 2023. He was the son of the late Julian George French and the late Phyllis Shives French. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Catherine Lineaweaver French, his two children, Alison French Herzog (Jonathan) and Clayton French (Julie); and five grandchildren, Toby, Paige, Reid, Hudson and Carter. Additionally, he is survived by his brother, Richard French (Meg), sister, Anne Beardslee, and sister-in-law, Ann Bamford. He was preceded in death by his sister, Rainie Bender. He graduated from Pennsylvania Military College in 1968 where he played football, ran track and was a member of TKE. He attended Grace Presbyterian Church with his family where he had the opportunity to work with great friends on several mission trips C.T. worked in the insurance industry for 25 years, where he held several executive positions. Professionally, he was most proud of Signature Financial Services, its reputation and all of the friendships he made through the company that he founded in 1990. C.T. was a man who spoke through his actions. He had genuine compassion for others. He was a true gentleman with dry, intellectual whit. He loved all types of music and was an avid participant in all sports; golf, tennis, running, football, darts, ping-pong, you name it. C.T. was an exceptional family man with a fair but fierce competitive spirit that will be deeply missed. Memorial Service will be on Friday, December 15th 2023 at 2:00pm. Grace Presbyterian Church, 444 York Road, Jenkintown, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to a charity of the donor's choice.
