Obituary of Lois Jean Glasstetter

Lois Jean Glasstetter, age 66, a 35-year resident of Ft. Washington, PA and formerly of Rehoboth Beach, DE died on July 18, 2023. Born on January 7, 1957 in Philadelphia, PA, Lois was the beloved daughter of the late Daniel Stephen Glasstetter and the late Thelma Jean Smith Glasstetter. Lois graduated from Abington High School in 1974. She earned her Bachelor's from Millersville State College in 1978 and her Master's in Education from Arcadia University in 1988. Her 35 year career as an educator and reading specialist was with Hatboro Horsham School District from which she retired in 2013. Early in her career, she was employed as a first grade teacher by Cape Henlopen School District in Delaware. She was a member of Cornerstone Church of Skippack for the past two years. She enjoyed reading, cooking and gardening. She is survived by her siblings and their spouses: Faith and David Washburn and Daniel and Mary Glasstetter; nieces and nephews: Richard and Adeline Kline, Kristin and Abey Qureshi, Samantha and Phil D'Amato, Daniel Glasstetter, Charlotte and Tyler Jump, Susanna Glasstetter, Patrick Glasstetter, Teddy Glasstetter and Samuel Glasstetter; Great-nieces: Mabel Rose Qureshi, Annabel Qureshi, Julia Kline, Ellie Kline and Mia Elizabeth Jump. Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, July 22, 2023, Helweg & Rowland Funeral Home, 1500 Old York Road, Abington, where relative and friends will be received from 10:30 AM until the time of the service.
