Rudolph Wellington Stroh, Jr. "Rudy", age 89, a 15 –year resident of Ann's Choice Senior Living in Warminster, PA and a former long-time resident of Abington, PA died on March 23, 2023.
His beloved wife of 33 years, Beatrice Weiss Stroh, died in 1991.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Rudy was the son of the late Rudolph W. Stroh, Sr., and the late Anna Virginia Schellenger.
After graduating from Bartram High School in 1951, he studied Business Administration at The University of Pennsylvania from where he earned his Bachelor's Degree.
He began his career in telecommunications with Bell of Pennsylvania and later worked for AT&T from where he retired.
In 1953, he began his service with the U.S. Army, he was honorably discharged as Corporal in 1961.
He was a dedicated member of Abington Presbyterian Church for the past 65 years. Throughout the years, he served the church as Deacon, Elder, Business Manager and Session member. He also served on the Organ Restoration Committee.
During his time at Ann's Choice, he served on the Protestant council, was a very active and proud member of the Veteran's group and was a member of the Model Railroad Club.
He was a long time Mason and dedicated member of Friendship-Williams Lodge 400, F&AM.
He is survived by his children and their spouses: Rudolph W., III and Susan Krantz Stroh and Linda M. and Joseph Ayoub Jr.; four grandchildren, Christopher Stroh, Kenneth Stroh, Joseph Ayoub III, Beatrice Ayoub, a great-granddaughter, Ayla Stroh and by his brother, William Stroh. His beloved wife of 33 years, Beatrice Weiss Stroh, died in 1991. In 1997, he married Joanne M. Weaver, she died in 2013. Additionally, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Rudolph W. Stroh, IV.
Memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, March 30, 2023, in the chapel of Ann's Choice, 30000 Ann's Choice Way, Warminster, PA. Relatives and friends will be received after the service. Interment in Whitemarsh Memorial Park will be held privately.
