I am so saddened by this. Jerry always had a friendly smile and was happy to hear about me and my life and tell me about his children and grand children. My sincerest condolences to his family. I know he will surely be missed and many will.

I got to know Jerry at our folkie getaway weekends. Our first conversation consisted of a discussion of chicken parts and when he taught me the word fleegle (Yiddish for chicken wing) I doubled over with laughter. Jerry had a warmth that embraced everyone he met; he made everyone feel welcome. Wish we had more time with him!

I remember Jerry as a loyal friend who always had a smile on his face. He was the first friend I met when I started Wilson Jr. High in 8th grade. I was the new kid in class, and he went out of his way to make me feel welcome. I'm so glad I had the chance to see Jerry again at our NE High School 60th class reunion in April. My sincere condolences to the Freedman family. RIP Jerry.

I will certainly miss Jerry's smiling face and warm greeting every time I saw him. Never heard him complain--always ready to hear how you were. He was a real mensch.

Jerry was a kind soul, always sensitive and helpful to other people. We did some wacky things as kids and Jerry was always there with a smile, a laugh and a good word. We all miss you Jerry!

Jerry was like a brother to me. We had many good times together. Our trips together, Grossingers, cub med, puerto Rico and Las Vegas, my first visit with Jerry and his dad. Hard for me to believe that he’s gone so early. He was a proud father, grandfather and husband. RIP old buddy!
