In October, 2019, I photographed Marge and her husband, Bill Dyson, at the gathering at the Kings Bay Plowshares defendants' sentencing. Marge was such a serious, intense advocate most of the time, that I treasure this photo. Marge pledged this fall that she would help the WILPF US Disarm/End Wars Committees to resurrect its dormant campaign to end killer drones. We on the Committee plan to reach out to other anti-drone activists to develop a campaign that Marge would approve. She deserves no less! Marjorie Van Cleef, presente!

Marge was an inspiration to everyone she touched. She was humble yet fierce in her beliefs. She and I protested against fracking via Protecting Our Waters. Later I joined her when I could to protest drones. She was never afraid to speak her mind. And we shared a love of gardens. She and Bill were most generous, sharing their sweet potatoes slips with me. As I dug up my first sweet potato yesterday, I thought of Marge. Marge wanted a better world for everyone and did everything she could to undo injustices and heal the earth. Sandy Folzer
