Obituary of Adele S. Davis

Adele S. Davis, aged 99, of Jenkintown, PA, passed away on June 10, 2020, due to complications of the coronavirus. Adele (nee Seifried) was born and raised in Quarryville, PA, the oldest of 8 children and the last surviving sibling. After high school, Adele attended Montgomery Hospital School of Nursing in Norristown, PA, earning her RN. At this time, Adele reunited with Dr. Raymond B. Reinhart, who had attended Quarryville High School with her. After their marriage, Adele stayed at home to raise their 5 children. This marriage ended in divorce. Years later, Adele returned to nursing and worked as part of a team that ran the community health clinic at Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, PA, for many years. Adele married John (Jack) Davis, also of Jenkintown, and the couple enjoyed traveling together, and visited England many times. Jack's parents had emigrated from England, and Jack and Adele visited his cousins there on several occasions. While traveling, the couple enjoyed their mutual love of history while exploring the English countryside. In addition to history, Adele loved antiques and was a longtime member of the Questers. She played bridge and enjoyed gardening, as well as interior design. Adele is survived by her children, Daniel Reinhart (Melissa), Kristine Schwartz (Charles), Bryant Reinhart, Roger Reinhart (MaryAnn), Margaret Castellano (Andrew) and stepchildren, Betsy Elenbaum (Larry), Peter Davis (Kathy), and Patricia Davis. She is also survived by her 17 grandchildren: Ben, Cynthia, Anna, Alex, Christopher, Maxwell, Drew, Georgia, Michael, Abby, Maggie, Brian, Andy, Stephanie, Tori, Kelly and Jennifer. She was predeceased by a beloved stepson, Tyler Davis, husband of Pat. Due to the current dangers of the coronavirus, a celebration of Adele's life will be scheduled in the future.
