Tom and I worked together for several years at First Union, and I considered Tom my best friend at the Bank in the years that we worked together. Tom and I sat in adjoining cubes in the Small Business Banking Division with First Union at Broad & Walnut Streets from approx. 1996 thru 2002, but maintained our friendship for many years after my departure from the Bank. I had three young boys during our work time together, and would often bring them into the office, where Tom treated my boys like his own. They loved him dearly, and they and I shared many hearty laughs together, and many rock concert stories as well. Tom always knew how to get tickets to the most in demand concerts, and was instrumental in my being able to attend many sold out shows thru his broker connections. I last saw Tom in Dec. 2015 at an annual Bank reunion, and Tom was his same gregarious, friendly and warm self. I enjoyed working with Tom and treasure those times. My condolences to Kathy, Emily and the entire family. Tom was a true gem and will be greatly missed by many.
