Obituary of Robert Grant Hoeppner

Robert Grant Hoeppner, age 80, a 49-year resident of Blue Bell, PA died on February 2, 2019 at his home in Normandy Farms Estates. He was the beloved husband of Jeanne Remmey Hoeppner for 60 years. Bob and Jeanne also enjoyed their homes in Lake Naomi, PA and Amelia Island Planation, FL. Born in Chicago, IL, Bob was the son of the late Ernst Paul Hoeppner and the late Ruth M Eliasson Hoeppner. After graduating from Abington High School in 1956, he studied Finance at Drexel University, from where he earned his degree in 1961. His career in Finance, lead him to the position as CFO for Bickley Furnaces and as CFO for Manchester Inc. He retired in 2000. He was an avid golfer and was a member of Old York Road Country Club, The Amelia Island Club and The Lake Naomi Club. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his loving children and their spouses; Shirley Hoeppner-Crawford and Jeffrey C. Crawford of Ramsey, NJ, Sandy Hoeppner Brown and Sidney R. Brown of Philadelphia, PA and Robert E. and Barbra Hoeppner of Ambler, PA and by his dear grandchildren: Courtney Brown, Christie Crawford, Eric Brown, Chase Crawford, Robert E. Hoeppner, Jacob Brown and Drew Hoeppner. Memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, Huntingdon Valley Country Club, 2295 Country Club Drive, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006, where relatives and friends will be received, at a luncheon, after the service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to The Robert Hoeppner Mesothelioma Research Fund at the Abramson Cancer Center, Penn Medicine Development, 3535 Market St., Suite 750, Phila., PA 19104, checks should be payable to Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania.
