Obituary of Diane Marie Kinslow
Please share a memory of Diane to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Diane "Didi" Marie Kinslow Bennett, 32, of Baltimore, MD, and formerly of Roslyn, PA, daughter, sister, lover, and friend, died on Friday January 21, 2011, in Baltimore, MD.
Diane was born on May 24, 1978 in Elkins Park, PA. She was the first of three daughters born to Dennis V. and Dorothy A. Kinslow. She attended Saint John of the Cross School (class of 1992) as well as Abington Senior High School, where she graduated in 1996. From as early as 11 years old, Diane was determined to be self- sufficient; she got a newspaper route delivering the Intelligencer Record, which she did throughout her remaining time in Roslyn.
Diane moved to Maryland at 18 and attended the University of Maryland College Park. Upon completing her undergraduate degree (2001) with a double major in History and Government and Politics, she attended the University of Maryland Law School in Baltimore (2006). Diane had strong values and believed in social justice. As a CINA attorney and child advocate with the Legal Aide Bureau of Harford County, MD, she touched many lives, not only the children she represented, but also the lawyers, social workers, and judges who were her beloved colleagues. Diane was also fun-loving, and she spent her free time traveling the world (Vietnam and Europe), following pop culture, and having laughs with her family and friends. Diane had a big heart and wanted everyone to be happy.
Diane is survived by her loving husband Eugene F. Bennett, III; by her parents; by her little sisters, Karen S. Kinslow and Kelly A. Kinslow; by her grandmother Charlotte H. Kinslow, as well as by her many aunts, uncles and cousins. She also leaves behind her mother and father in-law, Eugene F. and Vivian E. Bennett, Jr., of Cambria Heights, New York.
A celebration of Diane's life will occur on Saturday January 29, 2011 at Baron Rowland Funeral Home, 1059 Old York Rd., Abington, PA. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 9:00- 10:30 AM. Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Legal Aide Bureau of Harford County, 103 South Hickory Ave., Bel Air, MD 21014-3730.
