Obituary of June Tullos

June Gates Tullos, age 75, a resident of Middletown, DE and formerly of Philadelphia, PA went home to be with the Lord on February 17, 2017 after a very brief battle with cancer. It took her swiftly after officially being diagnosed on January 13, 2017. She was the beloved and adored wife and soul mate of Fred Calvin Tullos for more than 53 years. Born in Colver, PA, June was the daughter of the late David Gates and the late Awilda Oshall Gates. June graduated from Thomas Jefferson Nursing School in 1963. Her true spirit was nurturing. Which was evident in her 37 year career as a nurse at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. After she retired, she became a full time Mamaw, which was her favorite role, by far. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her loving daughters and their husbands: Terri Ann and Paul Goldmann and Traci Ann and George Kramer and by her cherished grandchildren: David, Chester, Virginia, Max, Justin, Evan, Calvin and Cassidy who all thought she was the most amazing "Mamaw". She was liked by anyone who ever met her. She was a role model at so many levels. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 23, 2017, St. John's Methodist Church, 149 Ganttown Road, Turnersville, NJ, where relatives and friends will be received from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Interment will be private.
