ANDREW RINKO, born February 15, 1919 in Gary, West Virginia. A resident of Rydal Park for the past 4 years and formerly of Clifton, New Jersey, died on September 17, 2015. He was the devoted husband of the late Yolanda Rinko for 64 years and beloved father of Richard and Ferris Rinko, and Robert and Sarah Rinko. He is also survived by his adored grandchildren, Rebecca, Kendal, Tyler and Sam Rinko. Andrew was raised in Hungary and returned to the United States, at age 20, and served in the United States Army from 1941 to 1945 during World War II in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. He received the Victory Medal, American Defense Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, Philippine Liberation Ribbon and Good Conduct Medal. He was proud to have served his country and could be recognized easily at Rydal Park by his U.S. Army Veteran cap, which he wore all the time. His greatest enjoyment was being with his family and friends. Funeral service will be held promptly at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA 18940. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church, 223 Third Street, Passaic, New Jersey 07055. In the memo line, please write "In Memory of Andrew Rinko.
