Obituary of Lynn Marie Griffith

Lynn M. Fasy Griffith, age 61, a resident of Elkins Park and formerly of Philadelphia died on November 19, 2014. She was the beloved wife of James Lewis Griffith, Esq. for 14 years.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph F.X. Fasy and the late Mary Dougherty Fasy.
Lynn graduated from Mount St. Joseph Academy in 1971 and then attended Philadelphia University from where she earned her Bachelor's degree in 1975.
For 18-years Lynn was a Real Estate Paralegal for Wolf Block Schorr & Solis-Cohen LLP. She retired in 2000. Active in politics, Lynn served as treasurer for two elections of the Honorable Justice of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, Russell Nigro (Ret.)
She was a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church in Elkins Park and a former member of the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter & Paul in Philadelphia.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her siblings and their spouses: Mary Sue Fasy of Ocean City, NJ, Janet and Russell Nigro of Philadelphia, PA, Jay and Debra Fay of Ocean City, NJ, Christopher and Valerie Fasy of Glenside, PA, Andrew and Kirstin Fasy of Ocean City, NJ and Margaret "Meg" Fasy of Las Vegas, NV; by her step-children and their spouses; Mary E. and John Hall of Milton, GA, James L. Jr., Esq. and Aubrey Griffith of Wyndmoor, PA and Anne E. and Thomas Liebeskind of West Grove, PA and by her ten grandchildren .
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 24, 2014, St. James Roman Catholic Church, 8320 Brookside Road, Elkins Park, PA, where relatives and friends will be received from 9:30 until 10:50 AM. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Mt. St. Joseph Academy, 120 W. Wissahickon Ave., Flourtown, PA 19031 or to Abramson Cancer Center, University of Pennsylvania Development Office, 3535 Market Street, Suite 750, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
