Obituary of Elizabeth Morley Williams

Elizabeth "Betty" Morley Williams, 93, died on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Rydal Park Medical Center. Betty was born at State College, PA and grew up in Maplewood, New Jersey. She graduated from Skidmore College and then, in August 1942, she married Bill Williams, a second lieutenant In the Army Air Corps, when he went AWOL for the weekend. They had been married for 60 years at the time of Bill's death.
Betty earned her Masters in art education from Tyler School of Art and taught art both in Abington schools and in elementary schools in the Lower Moreland School District. She loved gardening and swimming as well as painting watercolors. Betty and Bill both enjoyed traveling to many foreign places.
She is survived by her children Dee Malan Massey (Dave), Louise Bultman (Dick) , Merrily Williams (Rick Summers) and Chip (Favie) and seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren as well as Donna, Barbara and John, the three children of her dear younger brother Don who died in 1961.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Abington Presbyterian Church, 1082 Old York Road, Abington. Friends will be received after the service.
