Obituary of Maria Dominica Drosey

Marie (Fiori Jones Hart) Drosey of Willow Grove, PA and Leesburg, FL gently passed away on April 13, 2013 in Leesburg, FL, at her winter home. Born in Philadelphia, PA on January 14, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas Fiori and Mary Ippolito Fiori. Marie was preceded in death by her three adoring husbands Charles H. Jones, Sr., William J. Hart, Jr. and Salvador J. Drosey. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Charlene D. Jones-McLaughlin; by her granddaughter, Gina Primus-Fox; by her brother, Nicholas Fiori; by her sister, Angelina Reagan; and by her half-sister, Dora Gershensen. Marie was a 50-year member of St David's Church where she taught CCD for several years and served on various church committees. Marie worked at several local banquet establishments such as Simmonetta's Casa Continental, Forest Inn and numerous others. Marie also worked at Burpee Seed in Warminster PA. Marie was most recently employed as a health care aide at the Dominican Retreat House in Elkins Park, which she loved. Marie's love of family and God was perhaps her greatest attribute and was clearly evident in her daily life. Marie is survived by her 6 children; Charles H. Jones Jr., Cecilia D. Hart-Box (Jerald), William J. Hart, III, Michael J. McLaughlin (Fran), Anna Drosey-Primus (Celso) and Laurence Hart. Additionally, she is survived by eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and by numerous special nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 from 8:30 - 10:20 AM, Baron Rowland Funeral Home, 1059 Old York Road, Abington. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, St. David's Church, 316 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. Interment will be in Westminster Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St David's Church will be appreciated.
