FLORENCE "Floss" ELEANORE SHAFFER (nee Schofield), age 92, a resident of the Cadbury Nursing Home in Cherry Hill, NJ died on September 3, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter H. Shaffer, Jr. for 55 years until his death in 2002.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pa, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred Schofield and the late Anna Hezter Schofield.
Floss graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School and for more than 20 years, worked for Cardo Automotive Products in Philadelphia.
Floss was a dedicated wife, mother, homemaker and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, crossword puzzles, knitting, gadgets and shopping from the televised shopping networks.
She is survived by her children: Betty J. Vliet, Walter H. Shaffer, III and his fianc Jeanette and Robert E. and Susan Shaffer; by 9 grandchildren, 9 great -grandchildren and by her sisters; Joan and Lois.
Graveside service will be held at 10:30 Am on Thursday, September 6, 2012, Hillside Cemetery, Susquehanna and Bradfield Roads, Roslyn.
