He played baseball at Abington High School and later developed a love of skiing that he shared with his family. In his final years he watched each and every Phillies game rejoicing in the team's championship in 2008. From an early age Bill had a great love for computers. He was ahead of his time in purchasing a home computer, a Radio Shack Tandy in the 1970s and then an Osbourne portable computer in the 1980s.
