Jacqueline M. Margetts, age 81, a resident of Arden Courts, passed away on September 10, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Sydney Margetts for 32 years. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John Redmile and the late Margaret Mary Murray. Jacqueline graduated from St. Basil's High School in 1961 and continued her education at Holy Redeemer Medical School, from where she received a medical technician degree. She was a medical technician for many years as well as being employed in the wedding department at Macy's in Cleveland, Ohio. She was a member of St. Paschal Baylon in Cleveland, Ohio, for more than 30 years. She served as a Eucharistic minister, volunteered with Helping Hands, delivering food for the homeless and was involved in the Welcoming Committee. She also enjoyed cooking, traveling, and gardening. She was effervescent, loving, and a devoted friend to many. She is survived by six nieces and nephews, who all adored their "fun aunt": Brian Huck, Mary Ann Hardy, Margaret Gombeda, Gary Huck, Kathryn Huck and Jacqueline Fad; and eight grandnieces and grandnephews. She is also survived by her stepson, John Margetts. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Margaret Huck. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 16, 2024 at St. Hilary of Poitiers Church, 820 Susquehanna Road, Rydal, PA, where family and friends will be received from 9:00 – 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, people can donate to The Alzheimer's Association (alz.org).
