Obituary of Rowena Martin Gibbons

Rowena Martin Gibbons, age 91, a resident of Jenkintown for the last 25 years and previously of Allentown, Coopersburg, and Emmaus, died on August 5, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Gerald Gibbons.
Born in Abington, Rowena was the daughter of the late William B. Martin and the late Rowena F. Martin (nee Shoemaker). She graduated from Abington High School in 1951.
Rowena was a lifelong lover of classical music and enjoyed dabbling in arts and crafts. In her later years she enjoyed sitting on her patio and chatting with neighbors.
She is survived by her children, Michael Thomas Gibbons (Leah Bailey Gibbons) and Gwen Lynn Ayers (Richard Ayers), one grandchild, and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her sister, Gwen Gearhart.
Memorial service will be held privately.
